In pursuance of its resolve to help the youth of the State in matters of overseas placements, the State Government has approved the formation of a Society in the name of 'Haryana Overseas Placement Assistance Society' and this Society has been registered. The Broad Objectivves of the Society are as follows:
To disseminate information to interested persons regarding overseas employment opportunities and academic courses, passport, visa and immigration rules, regulations etc.
To help and assist interested job seekers in securing jobs in foreign countries.
To cooperate with international organisations or other institutes having objectives wholly or partly similar to those of the Society.
To grant financial assistance in implementation of schemes which may be formulated for this purpose or any other facilitating activity meant for achieving any of the objectives mentioned above.
Functions of the Society
The Society shall provide information, guidance and assistance in respect of:
Opportunities available for overseas studies and placements;
Facilities for skill improvement;
Obtaining Passport, Visa etc;
Any other related fields.
The Society shall have provide thse services as its office as well as through the Facilitation Centres.
Facilitation Centres
All the 61 Employment Exchanges in the State shall function as Facilitation Centres of the Society. The staff at these Centres shall be adequately equipped with the requisite expertise. All the above services shall be available free of charge except for the actual expenses.
Overseas Placement Bureau
The Society shall obtain Certificate of Registration under the Emigration Act, 1983 from the Ministry of Overseas Indian Affairs. After obtaining the Registration Certificate, an Overseas Placement Bureau shall be set up under the aegis of the Society. The Bureau shall function as Recruiting Agent for the purpose of overseas placements.
